“Made from Merlot (70 percent) and cabernet grown at high elevations on Pine Mountain above the Alexander Valley, this is black in color and mouthcoating in weight. As it takes on air, the rich oak retreats, and the wine shows more red fruit than the color would imply. Cellar it for several years, to serve it with grilled lamb chops.”
