92 Points: 2006 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
A very fine Cabernet Sauvignon, although it’s a textbook example of why you should cellar a wine even when it’s as tasty as this in youth. Shows classic flavors of blackberries, black currants, cocoa, herbs and spices, wrapped into dusty tannins
and enriched with sweet, smoky oak. But it will only gain complexity and texture in the bottle. Better 2010 and beyond. —S.H. December 2009

91 Points: 2005 Alexander Valley Ispiri
Made from Merlot (70 percent) and cabernet grown from high elevations on Pine Mountain above the Alexander Valley, this wine is black in color and mouthcoating in weight. As it takes on air, the rich oak retreats, and the wine shows more red fruit than the color would imply. An herbal undertone keeps it fresh. Cellar it for several years, to serve with grilled lamb chops. (W&S: 4/09: 500 cases)

Very Good+ (90 Points): 2007 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This opaque dark purple colored wine opens with an attractive dried cranberry and mild boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, fruit forward, and smooth. The flavor profile is a rich blackberry with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and displays moderate tannins that are nicely prolonged. We felt wine would pair well with barbecue ribs.
